It has been three years since we began publishing BrainWaves: The Official (Bi-Monthly) Newsletter of the Neuroscience Graduate Program. In that time we have published 18+ issues that have highlighted what's been going on in our program, how to navigate it more efficiently, and have even featured Neuroscience alumni who have gone on to successful careers in business, government, and academia.
I am personally very proud of what the students have put together since our first year. As many of you know, it is also a very exciting time for a number of them as they graduate and become the next generation of Neuroscience alums.
While we are obviously disappointed to see them go, their departure does provide us with an opportunity to grow the newsletter in some new and exciting directions.
As a result, we are looking for dynamic writers who are willing to help generate and develop content independently and in concert with the BrainWaves team. The commitment is relatively small: attending one meeting every 8 weeks and preparing a ~250 word article per issue. The benefits include working with an exciting and committed team of students to help grow and promote the Neuroscience program.Anyone interested in joining the team is asked to contact Ryan Van Lieshout at email@example.com or Kathryn Reynolds at firstname.lastname@example.org.
